Benefits and Blends of Adagio Teas
It’s probably no surprise by now that I love tea – it’s warm, delicious and calming. Tea comes in so many different flavours these days, anyone can find something they enjoy. So you can imagine how thrilled I was to connect with Adagio Teas. I was lucky enough to be provided with a gift certificate to pick out some tea blends of my choice to review, which I can’t wait to share with you!
It was super tough to decide on which tea I wanted, they have so many choices! But in the end I decided to order the following (click on each tea blend to find out more information or give it a try!)

My Adagio Experience
Aside from the taste, the whole Adagio Teas ordering and shipping experience was also pleasant. It was easy to navigate the website to pick your order. Although clearly hard to narrow down your order with such a selection. Adagio offers a ton of different choices – depending on the type of tea you are looking for. There were enough caffeinated and caffeine-free choices and something for every palate.
One thing I thought was pretty unique about the ordering experience was that you can sign up to receive free Twitter updates on where your package is at. Whenever I order anything online, I watch that thing like a hawk. I just get really excited for things to arrive! Instead of checking the tracking number constantly when I should be doing other things, I got these updates right to my Twitter inbox instead! Maybe I’m lame, but I thought that was pretty darn cool.
Also, by sharing a $5 gift certificate with your social media followers, you also have the chance to earn more points. You earn points for each purchase you make, and you can use these later for valuable savings. That’s very little work for some extra points! I think it’s a great idea considering how connected everyone is with social media these days. Overall, the process was easy from start to finish and the shipping didn’t take too long. Even if it did, at least I would have known where it was at all the time!
Adagio Teas has an impressive array of tea blends ranging from black tea, herbal tea, flavoured tea, oolong tea, rooibos tea, chai tea, white tea, matcha, darjeeling, genmai cha, yerba mate blends, and even more. Each of these carry their own unique health benefits and so many different flavours to choose from. No matter your tea style, you can surely find something you like here. They even have some adorable tea ware and tea subscription services.
Although I love a nice herbal tea in the evening, I NEED the caffeine to get me through the work day. So I decided to purchase Adagio’s Earl Grey Blend although there are so many other black teas I wanted to try. I purchased a box of 15 full-leaf gourmet tea bags. The pyramid tea bag trend is really on point lately, and I find that it really does affect the taste. Not just a marketing ploy! The shape of the bag allows the tea to infuse more effectively and I think this really does add to the taste.
I have had a lot of earl grey tea in my time. But I would say that Adagio’s was one of the best I’ve had. With natural fruit flavours, this tea was sweeter than other brands. I love sweet – and maybe I can even go without as much sugar in my tea! Adagio has so many different varieties of Earl Grey as well, which I can’t wait to try once I’m done this box (which won’t be long). Each tea bag was also individually wrapped. It was both convenient and delicious! I would definitely recommend this one and will be purchasing again.
From the wide selection of rooibos tea, I chose the Green Rooibos Blueberry. Oh my gosh! This tea was absolutely delicious. As soon as I opened the bag I could smell all the fruit. The taste was even better. The blend was super colourful and it was easy to see all of the ingredients – real blueberry, cranberry, rosehip, hibiscus, and raspberry leaves. It certainly was berry-licious and oh so good! I also tried the Rooibos Mango Tea which was equally as fruity and delicious. This tea was very light and while still flavourful, the mango wasn’t overpowering.
Generally white teas are a bit too subtle for what I like. But, the White Grapefruit blend was definitely still enjoyable. The grapefruit isn’t super strong in this tea, but it tasted good and was a refreshing cup of tea. This would likely make a very delicious iced tea as well. A perfect summer option!
Adagio’s green teas are sourced right from farmers and offer a good source of antioxidants and other benefits. This type of tea is really popular for it’s health benefits, and Adagio has a ton of different blends to offer. I received a package of the Pomegranate Green Tea. As it advertises, this isn’t an overly fruity blend but I found it delicious and very calming. I could still definitely notice the hint of both pomegranate and raspberry.
The Yerba Mate blend offers an extra boost of caffeine to keep you energized, while also offering health benefits. I’ve heard it’s like a kick in the pants! For me, this type of tea is more of an acquired taste and it was my first time trying it. For those who are like me and prefer sweet things, you may like this better with some sugar or combined with some fruit juice. If you have this acquired taste, there are so many benefits this blend offers. Aside from waking you up, Yerba Mate blends carry antioxidants, aids digestion and even helps heart health. Adagio also offers others blends like Citrus Mate and Mocha Nut Mate, which sound delicious to me.
My Review of Adagio Teas
Overall, I would definitely recommend and purchase from Adagio again once I’ve finished my current tea haul. I think the company is doing things that are unique from other competitors but also produces quality products. The teas are pretty fairly priced for the amount that you receive. The loose leaf tea’s usually only needed 1-2 teaspoons for a cup which was more than enough to get the full flavour out of the tea. I like having the option of selecting either loose leaf or tea bags – as people have different preferences. There is also a variety of different amounts you can buy. It’s easy to try out something to make sure you like it, and you can also buy a ton of tea once you find the ones you love best.
